So, then I told my peoples that I was quitting! I gave two weeks notice! And there was much happiness!

Then I recieved a call the next day that I couldn't be hired at the new place because of my driving record.

Ha! Ha! Ha!

[Roll Eyes]

Stupid driving record.

And let me tell you, there's nothing quite like the sweet tang of embarrassment when you go back to your peoples and say, uh, about me quitting....

I hear you. That would be, by far, the worst part for me.

Oooh. *winces* I'm sorry.

I thought this was gonna be a happy thread. I was gonna post our good news.

Instead you can all just read my blog if you want it, I don't want to rain on Stormy's parade. [Frown]

Storm Saxon, if you lived in Utah County you could car pool with me, problem solved.

Thanks, BB.

Javert, they haven't gotten back to me yet, but everything should be o.k., since they are, on the one hand, good people, and on the other hand, kind of desperate for help. [Smile]

Ouch. I've had that happen, Stormy, 'cept for mine it was 'cause the new company went into a merger and froze hiring, and they didn't tell me I didn't have the job anymore until more than a week through my two week notice. It totally sucked going back to my boss. It worked out for the best for me, but man, I feel for you.

Good going Stormy. [Smile] See, this is why you don't burn bridges...or put rubber cement all over your employer's chair.

On the upside, me not getting this job leaves the door wide open for me to pursue my dream of being an international underwear model. Excellent!

Beware of freak gasoline accidents. And remember: there's more to life than being really, really, really, really, really, really, really ridiculously good looking.

Lots of mind-blowing sex on top of piles of cash?

Javert, there is actually a graphic joke from Neil Gaiman's Death comic books that I googled for and was unable to find that would have been awesome, but, yeah, something like that, except more along the lines of Peter Griffin.
