Why must they insist on making these disks so flimsy?
It makes no sense. They cost 40 dollars retail for the game. They should at least make discs that will last, but instead they crack and shatter like my disk one which I had to get replaced.
THen I tried to install the game on a new compute and it wouldn't even install!
It turns out the second disk has minute nicks and scratches!
So I might have to pay 40 more bucks for a new game just so I can happily waste my time playing.
Well, I do not want to pay 40 whole entire bucks and will instead rant here and write EA Games a polite but angry letter about the importance of not using such flimsy disks. It's not even just 2. My Livin' Large disk ALSO has a large crack on it! [Mad]

Take the newest one back to the store, if its not that old yet, they should replace it.

If it is an older one, buy a new copy of the game, save the receipt. Put the disc back in the new box and take it back and say it doesn't work.

Most places only accept returns of unopened games, for stealing reasons.

It's probably too late to return it anyway, it was a present.
I tried doing the disk image several times, didn't work.
Either my computer hates Sims 2 (Which is the one game I want to play right now) or it's the tiny marks. Maybe I'll take it to a store and ask for advice.
I really don't want to pay 40 bucks >.<. I already have to give some guy 21 dollars. And the cab driver about 32 dollars [Frown]
Maybe I'll buy a new one and sell it on ebay.

Try a re-coating machine. The cost of a DVD recoater might be more than the cost of the new disk, but you mught just make it up in savings later on.

Send it to EA, they should replace it for you.

When you purchase software, if I'm not mistaken, what you are buying is the license to use the software, not the physical disc. If you send them the broken original, I don't see them giving you any problems about replacing it.

I bet I have to replace the other two disks too which means paying 13 bucks each to replace each disk.
I'll buy a new one and hten sell it for a high price on ebay.

You can usually take it back to the store if you have a receipt and only want to exchange the CD. I have done that a few times and was never hassled at all about it
