Aah, the 90's. A time of bliss, a time of stupidity, a time of a bunch of things that I really can't remember and really don't care about anymore. When I hear that something important happened during this time period, I often realize that I don't remember it happening. My 90's experience was cushioned under heavy, TV-enforced padding.
Judging by how I was only two when it began and twelve when it ended, I guess that shouldn't be too much of a surprise. But they were my earliest, most vulnerable years.
Here are a couple prime examples of what affected my perspective of life, all the way up to adolescence:
MIGHTY MAX Yes, I was a Mighty Max kid. I used to get up at 6:30am to watch this odd, twisted, and thoroughly macabre cartoon. And I collected a few of the toys, too. But when I recently found a page with a picture of each of the toys, and read a description of each and every episode, I quickly realized that not only was Mighty Max stupid, it was graphically so.
But my dad thought it was a pretty neat show, so I'll take that on a positive note. To tell the truth, I can't remember most of what I read up on concerning the show. But I guess it was good enough--or shocking enough--to have a lasting impression on me.
BATMAN/SUPERMAN ADVENTURES I loved this show. I thought it was the coolest thing. And I've heard since that it was the best cartoon representation of these Heroes. But I see pictures from the show, and I sometimes wonder how I liked it so much. Maybe I've forgotten what it's like to have watched these.
I'll probably update this as I remember what had a profound effect on me during those banal years. Feel free to add input of your own--what influenced you, during your childhood years?

I loved Airwold, Knight Rider, Thundercats, He-man, and Transformers. I saw an episode of Airwolf several years ago and I *cringed* during the entire show.
IT WAS DUMB!! I don't want to mess with the memories of my other shows. Of course Hasselhoff's Jump in my Car music video referenced on Hatrack has gone a long way in destroying that memory too!

Quantum Leap, Knight Rider, Wild Wild West, Get Smart, and Dragnet. And everything Nick at Nite (remember Block Party Summer? Oh man, they used to have the best lineups).

All That!, Kenan & Kel!, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, etc.
I liked all of the above, especially the Good Burger takes on All That. To my great horror, the movie was a flop, and a poor one at that.

Nick used to have some great shows. Hey Arnold was one of the better cartoons.
