...the very first page I end up on?

It describes in colorful, almost pornographic detail how a venomous snake bite kills not only a woman (who got bitten right on the eyeball)...but goes into extraordinary focus on what said venom does to her unborn child.

Ugh.

There goes any vestige of interest I had in the film.

It's just a novelization. Not really the best way to judge a movie. I have a hard time believing that part will actually be like that in the movie. The parts regarding the unborn child especially sound unlikely to be part of the movie. Of course, this is all just my opinion. I guesse we won't see until it comes out.

I would not at all be surprised if part of the movie involved a snake biting someone in the eye.

COme on. With a name like "Snakes on a Plane" do you expect witty reparte'? Deep philosphical debate?

Yuck. Just... yuck.

I have to admit that I would love to see a movie called "Snakes on a Plane" that featured, rather than snakes on a plane, two guys sitting around and talking about deflated expectations.

I agree with Tom. Even better, if that was the case with the one coming out soon, and one of the two guys sitting around and talking about deflated expectations being Samuel L. Jackson would make it that much more fulfilling.

When I saw the preview for this before X3 the entire audience broke out in laughter as soon as "Snakes on a Plane" appeared on the screen.

How does something that looks so absolutely horrible end up on the big screen. Someone must have some really good dirt on Mr. Jackson.

Of course it already has the makings of a cult classic. We just need someone at the front of the theater to hold up queue cards so we all know when to yell at the screen.

I'm a little worried now. There's been all this hype that SoaP will be so-bad-it's-good, but I suspect it may be so bad, it's really, really bad.

Have you seen the poster?

I'm finding it hard to believe the people making this movie meant for it to be anything but deliberately awful.

I read they got tips on the script from the internet--people who heard about the title sent in ideas.

A Warden, howcome I picture the last five minutes of SonP/Witty Repartee with Samuel Jackson version having Mr. Jackson throw down some serious Jedi Whip--er--whipping on his debate partner.

The reptile magazine to which I am subscribed had an article on SoaP in this month's issue. I don't care what anyone says about this. This is going to be the best. movie. ever.

Well, Mr Jackson has a reputation for only taking roles in deep and meaningful movies.

My ideal movie called "Snakes on a Plane" would be about the never ending struggle between plumbing equipment and woodworking tools.

Apparently, their teacher tells them a much-edited version of the story-- and now they ask him for it every day. [Embarrassed]
