Facebook has recently posted a new development that allows people to have global groups. So, I have taken it upon myself to create a Hatrack global group. All are welcome.

I signed up. Who else is on?
Posted by breyerchic04 (Member # 6423) on :
Me.
Posted by Heffaji (Member # 3669) on :
I haven't touched my Facebook for a bit, but I signed up too.
Posted by breyerchic04 (Member # 6423) on :
Heffaji, did you see the post about a hatrack get together July 22nd? Will you be in town?
Posted by Boris (Member # 6935) on :
I joined up, too.
Posted by breyerchic04 (Member # 6423) on :
Boris, you're either younger than I thought, of the opposite gender, or not showing up right now. I'm hoping for younger. and from Illinois?
Posted by Celaeno (Member # 8562) on :
I joined. I'm Kara.
Do you think we could maybe do the officer thing or something with our Hatrack names? I have no idea who's who. Hooray for being the newbie.
edit: I'm Kara from Santa Clara.

hehe, I'm Sarah.
And I just figured out who Boris is.

Just signed up. I'm Jane.

Just joined. I'm also Kara.
It's really annoying that they don't differentiate the school specific groups and the global groups.
Edit: I'm the Kara from Purdue. That should make things easier.

Sorry, but I won't be back in Bloomington until late August.
Oh, and I'm Marc.

Jeremy from Emory.
Posted by Lyrhawn (Member # 7039) on :
I'm signed up on there, I'm Adam from Oakland.
And holy crap, Heffaji, you're the only Marc I've ever met other than my brother who has spelled his name with a "C" and not a "K". I never thought this day would come.
Is there a reason yours isn't with a K?
Posted by Orincoro (Member # 8854) on :
Wait... Facebook is my REAL life...
Posted by Javert (Member # 3076) on :
I signed up...but I already said hello over there.
Posted by Evie3217 (Member # 5426) on :
Alright. I have made officers, but I'm sure I missed some people. Let me know who you are so I can add you as officers.
Posted by Celaeno (Member # 8562) on :
That's awesome, Evie. Thanks!

After I signed up I was browsing my facebook friends and came across a name and picture that I completely didn't recognize. I finally asked breyerchic who it was and got their screenname. I found it incredibly amusing that even though I had someone's real name, I needed their screenname to identify them.

I signed up, although I haven't really used facebook in a while.
Posted by El JT de Spang (Member # 7742) on :
Several people on there I have no clue who they are.
Posted by breyerchic04 (Member # 6423) on :
Oh me too, quite a few actually.
Posted by socal_chic (Member # 7803) on :
I just signed up...how fun!! I'm Mikelle by the way.
Posted by Alcon (Member # 6645) on :

I think the story goes that originally my parents were divided over whether to give me the name Matthew or Mark. One of them, I don't know which, convinced the other to go with Mark. However, that one would only do it on the condition that it was spelled with a "C", since that parent knew plenty of people who used "K" and wanted to differentiate me somewhat.
Oh, and I've yet to come across anyone who goes by Marc as well. Someday..........
Posted by MyrddinFyre (Member # 2576) on :
I know two Marcs from my town *brags*
Actually, that's more than the Marks I know. Anyway, just thought I'd share.

Posted by MidnightBlue (Member # 6146) on :
I'd join, but I'm a little internet paranoid.
Posted by Kasie H (Member # 2120) on :
I'm on there.
Luckily, my handle and my name aren't all that different...
Posted by MarekAgain (Member # 13484) on :
So i can't find a hatrack group on facebook, but it seems like one would exist
Posted by TomDavidson (Member # 124) on :
I'm pretty sure no one is on it.
Posted by MarekAgain (Member # 13484) on :
That's the only one i could find too.
I see where many people checked in, but it only shows two members
Posted by Jake (Member # 206) on :
I'm not seeing the group either (other than the one with two members).
Posted by JanitorBlade (Member # 12343) on :
Lol. I wasn't aware that existed.
Posted by MarekAgain (Member # 13484) on :
Arguably it doesn't, but a new one could be created
Posted by 777 (Member # 9506) on :
Arguably, this Facebook group is the original group. It only lists two members, but if you scroll back in the group's posting history, it had much, much more than that at one point.
Guys, let's revitalize this thing.
Posted by MarekAgain (Member # 13484) on :
i think it would be cool if it got revived, even if just for nostalgia's sake
