Just got this phone call:

"Hey! I was looking online, and it says Pirates of the Caribbean 2 begins playing at 12:01 AM Thursday! Want to go see it today?"

"You do realize that 12:01 AM means after midnight?"

"...oh. Never mind!"

Technically, that would have been a little over 12 hours ago.

Around 12 hours from now would be 12:01 AM Friday.

Working in insurance, that makes a BIG difference. Policies start and stop at 12:01am. Clients think they can come in the day the policy starts over to pay, and they are fine. In fact if they have an accident on the way over, we don't have to cover them.

Yeah. The local theater showed it in their Thursday listing, I think that's what threw them off about the noon/midnight distinction. [Smile]

My sister bought tickets for the midnight Friday showing, figuring that midnight on Friday would be right after 11:59 PM on Thursday. Turns out that midnight Friday is after 11:59 PM Friday. Who woulda thunk it.

I've already seen it!

It started in the UK today. I could gush on about this movie for hours, only I won't... but it's good, as good as the first one. There are a few too many references to the first movie in the first half of the film, most of which fall a little flat, but the humour and the action is still there. The sequel adds to, rather than removes, your affection for the first film. Everyone remains in character.

These films are going to be classic action-comedy-adventure movies. I'm so relieved. [Big Grin]

YES!! Ohh, IcantwaitIcantwaitIcantwait!

That's so nice to hear, Bella Bee. Now I won't feel so silly tomorrow night, when some friends and I dress as pirates to go see it [Big Grin]

Oh I'm so glad to hear that Bella. I've been terrified it was going to be a let-down.

So...Bella. Can you spoil the "after credits" scene for me?

I get the feeling I won't be able to wait around, but I've heard the "secret ending" is a good one. [Smile]
