Anyone else have this program? if so, can you please help me with this?:

We had it a long long time ago but decided with our temporarily open network to get rid of it. We didn't do so well though, with most of the program remaining on the computer, just unusable.

Tonight I decided I wanted it again, and so systematically deleted every remains of it, and surprisingly got rid of all of it.

Then, on to downloading a new one. Here's the problem. I downloaded into one folder, which then asked me to install it, which I did. Then I clicked the "icon" that I used to press to get into it in my Program Files folder, and it asked me to install it again, exactly the same process.

When that was done it, like the last time, had a box to tick to open it automatically. I ticked it and pressed okay (or whatever), and nothing happened. Then I clicked the Desktop Icon it had installed, and still nothing has happened.

How do I run this program? I guess this is only applicable to Windows Users...

I have no problem, though I also went ahead and paid for the $18 version to avoid any chance of spyware.

I don't know if limewire has been fixed/streamlines, but, last time I ever used it, it was a bloated piece of Java crap. It hogged system resources and had a really stupid file management system. Now, if they could just write a program using the windows API instead of subscribing to the stupidity of cross-platform programming, I might use it.

Well, what's a good alternative?

BitTorrent and any of several thousand sites that support illegal filesharing.

Try going to it through clicking on Start and finding it. I also have a icon on my desktop that will install Limewire again if I click it.
