The front button for my jeans just popped off. It's one of those multi-part metal buttons that has a free-wigglin' bit on a post and it's supposed to stay together, but I think there's a third piece that mysteriously vanished. I want to just glue the sucker together because that third piece was holding the whole operation together, and I really like these jeans!
So...anyone have a glue suggestion? I need something substantial enough that it will form a really solid bead in the button, it must be strong enough to withstand pulling for rapid removal in case of emergency, and it must be waterproof.
This is probably a really easy fix, but like I said, I have no clue where to start. Help!

Go to a fabric store (heck even a WalMart will have this in their fabric dept) and buy a replacement. Much better than trying to use glue.
You can get a no-sew button kit for jeans with the tool for setting them included for about 2 bucks. Posted by erosomniac (Member # 6834) on :
I guess I can try fred meyer, since Seattle lacks a walmart and I have yet to find a fabric store that didn't look like it was run by people who cut off sections of the fabric to use as toilet paper when times are bad (read: always).
