This is a German CGI animated short...a very powerful one.

The storytelling and character acting is done so well that one doesn't even need to speak German to understand it.

I didn't, anyway.

Oli's Chance

The message is told simply, but very effectively.

That was amazingly well done, and the skyscapes were absolutely beautiful.

Thanks for sharing that.

*bump*

I just remembered this. More people should watch it. Because I said, obviously.

I thought it was ok. I think I would have gotten more out of it if I spoke german

What german I could interpret was limited due to the fact my hubby was playing an incredibly noisy game right next to me...

It was good. I wish I could have understood more of what they said. German has that weird way of making you think you understood it even when you didn't. It tricks you into thinking it's english when people say short things. You can get a lot of it from tone and context. But not really enough.

I found the gist of the story was easy enough to understand, though I speak no German.

It would've been nice to have subtitles though.

The film is intended to be shown to German children, so unfortunately there was no provision made for non-German speaking viewers.

With the German I can remember from school, I picked up most of the story. I had to improvise a bit during the last part to try to understand what happened, but I still think I get it. [Smile]

If a German speaker wants to tell us what the dude said to Oli at the end, I wouldn't mind that. [Smile]

I liked the grafitti artist. He was cool.

They have fast trains in Europe, much faster than here, I think.

I don't think the guy who got electrocuted climbing the high voltage towers to fly his plane was really close enough to the conductors to get fried, or not they way they showed it. Maybe lightning struck him, though.

She. The graffiti artist was named "Nicole", and her voice was done by someone named "Kristina".

Yeah, I know...rather tomboy-ish girl.
