I'm no longer in the target audience, but I do have fond memories of the book from when I was 6.

Yes! I lvoed this book. The movie's a good bit different from the book, but I think it looks like a suitable adaptation.
Does anyone remember the other book in this line? I think it was called Beetles, Lightly Toasted.

I loved this book when I was little. I don't remember it too well (and that makes me feel old), but I'll definitely be seeing the movie come August.

I loved this book, and so did my kids.
It does look modified significantly, but I agree with Joldo that the adaptation looks reasonable.
And like a lot of fun.
(Is it me, or does anyone else wish some worms HAD been harmed in the making of this film? )

Walden Media has a somewhat more education-oriented website dedicated to the book and film here... Posted by SteveRogers (Member # 7130) on :
We had to read that book as a class-literature book when I was in fourth grade.
