I never tried iTunes for Audiobooks until lately (don't ask which one I bought, it's embarrassing). But now I've gotten a taste for the idea and I want more books in my Audiobook-collection. So, I drifted on over to Mr. Card's section and noticed that Ender's Game is not listed. I'm not saying I would have purchased it (I've got a few hard-copies in the house), I'm saying that one of Mr. Card's best-selling books would make a perfect addition to iTunes.

I'm curious if anyone knows why Ender's Game isn't listed?

It could be due to publisher rights, I don't know who owns what rights. That would be the first place I would look.

itunes doesn't havea good selection, and the books are overpriced. We did a big thread about this not long ago on the other side of the river.

Check out Audible.com though. About 11 dollars a book with a two book per month subscription, the entire ender and bean series are there.

Try asking on the other side of the forum. OSC's been nice enough to break down that kind of thing for me before, and the odds are good he knows the answer to your question.

Audio books don't work for me. It's just one of those things. Reading is entirely a visual process, and when I listen to a story or book, I tend to lose track of the details. I think that is part of the reason I have never loved movies as much as some people. I fail to see a lot of the art involved.

It's sort of like typing. Writing is a tactile experience for me, and I cannot dictate to save my life.

I much prefer Audible.com to itunes for audiobooks. They are generally cheaper, and I think that they have a much wider selection. You can play the books from an ipod (or any number of other mp3 players) burn them to CD or stream them. [Wink]
