So far...DeLay claims he has no knowledge of the things this guy did while working for him. Ohio Rep. Ney is probably in deep doo doo.

Washington Post

quote:
Tony C. Rudy, a former deputy chief of staff to Rep. Tom DeLay (R-Tex.), pleaded guilty yesterday to charges that he conspired with disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff to corrupt public officials and defraud his clients, as a burgeoning corruption probe took one step closer to members of Congress.

Any of you ever watch "Hogan's Heroes"? Any of you think, like I'm beginning to suspect, that DeLay and Sgt. Schultz were separated at birth?

"I see nothing. I hear nothing. I know nothing."

Don't know about Schultz. I've got the feeling that DeLay is just a pathological liar.

Regardless, I have to imagine with all the charges pending against him, and with the Texas redistricting facing an overturn, that his presidential bid is shot to hell. I don't think him facing serious competition in his home district is out of the question either.

He may end up escaping jail, but his political power is shot.
