Buying it and then finally seeing the ending after nearly 29 years of wondering. (It had a happy ending [Smile] )

Cheese

The act of creation, be it music, art, a new mathematical proof, a home, a life, or emotion in others.

The act of discovery and getting excited about it and knowledge.

Existing. Taking time to feel the moment, the touch, the taste, the sound, the smell, the sight of what's happening to you each moment.

The possibilities. There is so much you can do, so many choices. It's incredible when you think about it.

Late-summer mornings in the mountains, just before sunrise, when the air is crisp and cool.

Mid-summer evenings, an hour after sunset, when the sky is deeper and bluer and the stars are brighter and clearer than anything imaginable.

Early-summer afternoons, especially that first warm walk without jacket, scarf or gloves. (Okay, really this is Spring, but I needed the symmetry)

The moment when you realize that someone you love truly loves you in return.

Campfires

Waking up in warm blankets on a cold morning and just staying in bed.

Hidden mountain lakes

Giving of yourself

It's all worth it. Everything. Every moment, even the ones that hurt. Because life itself is its own justification and its own reward.

That perfectly content feeling that only comes on Saturday morning. You're wound down from a week of work and Monday morning is as far away as it's going to be. The sun is coming up and you have all day ahead of you.

Posted by twinky (Member # 693) on :

I get that feeling on Friday night. Monday morning is further away, and I have all night to do whatever I want. [Big Grin] I'm a night owl, which makes it hard to keep a regular sleeping pattern in a 9-5 Mon-Fri world.

I'd add driving through the country on a sunny summer's day while listening to good rock 'n roll. [Smile]

"A toddler's silly, uncontrollable laughter."
And I, third!

Sharing the adoring love of that toddler with your spouse and knowing that this being came from the two of you and embodies your love.

1) coasting along on a bike down a hill that seems to never end, the wind in your hair, the feeling that your free, and in control, even with a constantly changing environment, with no cars or people around, you feel that for those few moments, you are, in a way, God. You are in control of the path you choose, COMPLETE control, immune to anything anyone does to you, ebcause noone is there to do anything to you, you feel like your flying, like your alive, with the slightest change in your weight you can go to the left, the right, its almost like if you focus on going somewhere, you are turning that way (and thats exactly what ahppens your brain will command some of your muscles to make your weight shift to taht direction) and you can do anything you want, and it doesn't matter, beause you are in control for that moment, noone will know, noone will care, but you will, its your piece of heaven.

2) someone who always smiles, and makes you feel good inside, you get tongue tied around them and feel like an idiot, but then they give you a hug, and it makes your stomach go all tingly inside, you feel alive, and cared for, and wanted

but when you go to give that person a hug, and they back away, it makes tears well into your eyes, you can feel like someone or something is reachign through your chest and grabbing onto your heart and starts to squeeze, not hard, but enough that you feel pressure. you dont understand why you are crying, how someone, even that person could do this to you, make you feel this way, it hurts, it hurts a lot, and you cant stop crying

A cat waiting on the window sill for you to get home and give her a cuddle.

The residents first weekend my city has each year(local residents get to go into most of the museums and tourist attractions free for one weekend. It was last weekend and it was a beautiful cold clear day, and I really appreciated where I live).

The verb is to squee. I can't think of a better way to describe the sound. Half laugh, half squeal, half yelp.
