No, I didn't hold a seance. My family has a lot of German in our ancestry, so we had pork, saurkraut, and mashed potatoes today for dinner. Anyone else have any New Years traditions?

My mom says that what ever you do on New Year's day foreshadows what you'll do the rest of the year--which I hope isn't true as I've been home with a cold all day!

My mom's a Southerner (yeah right, like a Sicilian can ever really be southern) so we had black-eyed peas and collared greens, for luck and money.

LOTS and LOTS of firecrackers all night on New Year's Eve. Even though it's not the Chinese New Year yet, and I haven't spent New Year's Eve with my family in at least three years [Frown]

. And a giant pile of oranges appears on our kitchen counter... another Chinese thing.
