Just a place to post thoughts about other threads.

For example, if I wrote a thought about the Panda cub pays his debt to society being very funny, I could call myself the cub reporter. And thus make a pun about a pun thread.

Just tell us all something about a thread you are enjoying, or hating.

I liked pretending that everybody's presents in the "Gift Exchange" thread were for me.

But now that I got it, I know that only one of those was for me.

And a lovely gift it was, too! But now that I've got it, I'm missing out on the fun of anticipating it.

It's been a long time since I've been named in any of the popularity threads.

Or at least it seems that way.

Would it make you feel better if we started a new one and lobbied for you to win?

Posted by mr_porteiro_head (Member # 4644) on :

Sadly, if that happened because I whined, it wouldn't help.

I'm sad that I've never started a thread about how sad and pathetic I am, which is kind of pathetic.

I think I need to leave hatrack in a huff some day. Yeah, that would be cool.

Ooh! Or I could get myself banned!

But if this is the meta-thread where do we post our posts about the meta-thread?

In the second-order meta-thread.

If I post a comment about the concept of the second order meta-thread, where are we on the order of perspectives?

If this thread were a proton in the nucleus of meta threads, what threads would constitute the various outer orbits of the electron clouds of the second order meta atom? For that matter, how could we express each individual post within the thread? As a seperate quantum state of each thread, existing simultaneously at different levels of mental energy an at different times of day?

Hmmm...

If we start talking about what it means to look at a second order meta thread this way.... what are we in for next?

Seriously, why post a goodbye thread when we don't know who you are.

All it means is they are starving for attention. Don't feed it, the hunger just grows; In order to fix it you must starve the hunger.

I left Hatrack in a huff once, but nobody noticed.

If you don't want to leave in a huff, you can leave in an hour and a huff.

You know Tante, you haven't stopped talking since I got here. You must have been vaccinated with a phonograph needle.

I think it's ironic that the doby of the panda thread has lasted longer than the original.

Posted by Enigmatic (Member # 7785) on :

I was appreciating that fact, too.
