After listening to all the news about secret interment camps, secret flights into and out of mysterious countries, torture--drugs--semi-drownings, and the possible mistaken kidnapping of a German citizen by anti-terrorist forces headed by the CIA I've come to one conclusion...
please, someone, remake "The Prisoner".
But make the lead character Arabic. Oh, he can have the smoothest of English accents, be deboair and James Bondish, but make him definately Arab in looks and name.
Update the science fiction, and the special effects.
I can see it now, "I am not a number. I am a human being!", though now it might be "I am not a terrorist. I am a human being."
oh, one other change...for the final episode...make sure the writers are off the drugs this time.

My co-worker lent me the Prisoner, and I haven't had the chance to watch it yet.

I certainly think there is a need or that kind of thing to be made, Dan_Raven. I also think there's a large market for that kind of thing.
I haven't seen much of it. It's a little intense for me. I know it's supposed to be, but there's only so much of that kind of hateful existance I can take.

I LOVED The Prisoner.
I've been meaning to re-watch all of them. I have all the episodes on my pc, but it's pretty bad quality. I should probably check out the dvds.
