Anyone want to play the question game?

Posted by Tante Shvester (Member # 8202) on :

Why not?

Posted by Jonathan K. (Member # 7720) on :

Do you know how to play?

Posted by Corwin (Member # 5705) on :

No. Muahahaha!

Posted by Jonathan K. (Member # 7720) on :

Is the score 1-0, now?

Posted by Tante Shvester (Member # 8202) on :

Could you explain the rules? [Smile]

Posted by kmbboots (Member # 8576) on :

Why don't we ask Rosencrantz?

Posted by Tante Shvester (Member # 8202) on :

Does Rosencrantz know the rules?

Posted by T_Smith (Member # 3734) on :

Which one is Rosencratz?

Posted by Teshi (Member # 5024) on :

Don't you know?

Posted by T_Smith (Member # 3734) on :

Does anyone expect me to?

Posted by Tante Shvester (Member # 8202) on :

Why can't you two just get along for once?

Posted by sillygoose (Member # 1616) on :

What are people arguing about?

Posted by T_Smith (Member # 3734) on :

Tante, isn't that rhetoric?

Posted by Stan the man (Member # 6249) on :

Is questioning under the influence allowed?

Posted by Architraz Warden (Member # 4285) on :

Have I lost yet?

Posted by Enigmatic (Member # 7785) on :

But if you have, then who won?

Posted by KarlEd (Member # 571) on :

Are losers defined by winners? Or can you have a loser without having first determined a winner? Or could we all be losers?

Was that a triple-play?

Posted by Humean316 (Member # 8175) on :

Do you like baseball?

Posted by TheHumanTarget (Member # 7129) on :

Does anyone like baseball?

Posted by Altáriël of Dorthonion (Member # 6473) on :

Who cares about baseball? [Big Grin]

Posted by sillygoose (Member # 1616) on :

Why are we talking about baseball?

Posted by Kettricken (Member # 8436) on :

Who cares about sport?

Posted by CRash (Member # 7754) on :

How can you say that?

Posted by TheHumanTarget (Member # 7129) on :

Isn't everything a sport?

Posted by Corwin (Member # 5705) on :

Even dying?

Posted by Youth ap Orem (Member # 5582) on :

Why are you asking something so morbid?

Posted by aiua (Member # 7825) on :

Isn't everything morbid to some degree?

Posted by Ramdac99 (Member # 7264) on :

what defines "morbid?"

Posted by dean (Member # 167) on :

Sure, but can't they still be right?

Posted by Zarex (Member # 8504) on :

Wait France? What's France? And who cares about France if there is a France?

Posted by ludosti (Member # 1772) on :

Why are we talking about France?

Posted by Rico (Member # 7533) on :

Why would anyone ever talk about anything else?

Posted by Youth ap Orem (Member # 5582) on :

Why, what have you got against the French?

Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

Why don't people know the difference between "can" and "may" anymore? Is this a sign of the breakdown of society?

Posted by Youth ap Orem (Member # 5582) on :

Who dares to use the word "can" in place of "may"?

Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

What makes you think I had anyone specific in mind?

Posted by Youth ap Orem (Member # 5582) on :

Are you asking me?

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

Do you all know that I have never in my life lost this game?

Posted by Youth ap Orem (Member # 5582) on :

Are you ready to finally lose?

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

Why would I lose now?

Posted by tern (Member # 7429) on :

Who would you lose to?

Posted by Youth ap Orem (Member # 5582) on :

Why don't you answer my questions?

Posted by Goody Scrivener (Member # 6742) on :

Why don't you ask something worth answering?

Posted by Altáriël of Dorthonion (Member # 6473) on :

Why can't we be friends?

Posted by pH (Member # 1350) on :

Who wants to be friends with YOU?

Posted by T_Smith (Member # 3734) on :

I'm sorry, whose lead is it?

Posted by Enigmatic (Member # 7785) on :

Isn't it Ryan Stiles' lead now?

Posted by Jonathan K. (Member # 7720) on :

Why would you think that?

Posted by Jonathan K. (Member # 7720) on :

<new topic, everything has to be concerning the office>

Posted by Jonathan K. (Member # 7720) on :

Did you get the memo?

Posted by rCX (Member # 8503) on :

What memo?

Posted by Jonathan K. (Member # 7720) on :

Don't you know?

Posted by Zarex (Member # 8504) on :

Why should I?

Posted by Jonathan K. (Member # 7720) on :

Didn't the boss mention it in the email?

Posted by MandyM (Member # 8375) on :

Who's the boss?

Posted by Jonathan K. (Member # 7720) on :

How could you not know who your boss is?

Posted by MandyM (Member # 8375) on :

Could it be because he's so bad I don't want to claim him?

Posted by Jonathan K. (Member # 7720) on :

Wouldn't you know that better than me?

Posted by Zarex (Member # 8504) on :

Do you know the way to San Jose?

Posted by Jonathan K. (Member # 7720) on :

<stay on topic> <it's not fair if you can ask random questions, there's no skill>

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

Who died and made you Clive Anderson?

Posted by Jonathan K. (Member # 7720) on :

<it's the rules of the game it's got nothing to do with me>

Posted by Goody Scrivener (Member # 6742) on :

I get enough of the bossiness at the office, why do I have to put up with it here too?

Posted by Jonathan K. (Member # 7720) on :

Wouldn't you say that, that's a statement, with a question on the end?

Posted by Goody Scrivener (Member # 6742) on :

STill a question, don't you think?

Posted by Jonathan K. (Member # 7720) on :

In that case this sentence would be a question, do you agree?

Posted by MandyM (Member # 8375) on :

Why are you allowed to change the topic but we aren't?

Posted by Jonathan K. (Member # 7720) on :

Rosencrantz: Do you want to play questions?
Guildenstern: How do you play that?
Rosencrantz: You have to ask a question.
Guildenstern: Statement. One - Love.
Rosencrantz: Cheating.
Guildenstern: How?
Rosencrantz: I haven't started yet.
Guildenstern: Statement. Two - Love.
Rosencrantz: Are you counting that?
Guildenstern: What?
Rosencrantz: Are you counting that?
Guildenstern: Foul. No repetition. Three - Love and game.
Rosencrantz: I'm not going to play if you're going to be like that.
Guildenstern: Whose serve?
Rosencrantz: Err...
Guildenstern: Hesitation! Love... one.
Rosencrantz: Whose go?
Guildenstern: Why?
Rosencrantz: Why not?
Guildenstern: What for?
Rosencrantz: Foul! No synonyms! One... all.
Guildenstern: What in God's name is going on?
Rosencrantz: Foul! No rhetoric! Two... one.
Guildenstern: What does it all add up to?
Rosencrantz: Can't you guess?
Guildenstern: Were you addressing me?
Rosencrantz: Is there anyone else?
Guildenstern: Who?
Rosencrantz: How would I know?
Guildenstern: Why do you ask?
Rosencrantz: Are you serious?
Guildenstern: Was that rhetoric?
Rosencrantz: No.
Guildenstern: Statement! Two all. Game point.

Posted by Evie3217 (Member # 5426) on :

What TPS report? Why didn't I hear about this?

Posted by Jonathan K. (Member # 7720) on :

Posted by Evie3217 (Member # 5426) on :

Why don't I remember this?

Posted by MandyM (Member # 8375) on :

Posted by Jonathan K. (Member # 7720) on :

What happens when we listen to the boss?

I repeated an old post -1 for repetition

Posted by MandyM (Member # 8375) on :

Well, if you can't see it, why should I remind you?

<this sounds like I am being b****y. I'm not. This is a cute game and I am just playing along so don't take all this the wrong way>

Posted by Evie3217 (Member # 5426) on :

What happens if we don't listen to the boss?

Posted by Evie3217 (Member # 5426) on :

Why should we care what the boss thinks?

Posted by Jonathan K. (Member # 7720) on :

What are you talking about?

Posted by MandyM (Member # 8375) on :

Weren't we talking about the missing TPS report?

Posted by Jonathan K. (Member # 7720) on :

Who was working on the TPS filing system at the time?

Posted by MandyM (Member # 8375) on :

You don't expect me to answer that do you?

Posted by Jonathan K. (Member # 7720) on :

Why? Were you the one working there?

Posted by MandyM (Member # 8375) on :

Why would you think it was me?

Posted by Jonathan K. (Member # 7720) on :

Who else would it be?

Posted by MandyM (Member # 8375) on :

Don't you see all these other people here?

Posted by Jonathan K. (Member # 7720) on :

Aren't they all in accounting?

Posted by Stan the man (Member # 6249) on :

Why are you so concerned? Why didn't you just do it?

Posted by MandyM (Member # 8375) on :

Why bother asking me since I can't even be trusted with the darned TSP reports?

Posted by Jonathan K. (Member # 7720) on :

Can we do them, now that the copy machine's broken?

Posted by MandyM (Member # 8375) on :

And now I suppose you are going to blame me for that too, huh?

Posted by Stan the man (Member # 6249) on :

Have you tried turning it on?

Posted by Jonathan K. (Member # 7720) on :

Where's the on switch?

Posted by sillygoose (Member # 1616) on :

Is it in the back?

Posted by Stan the man (Member # 6249) on :

Is what in the back?

Posted by Goody Scrivener (Member # 6742) on :

There's pumpkin pie in the back?

Posted by Stan the man (Member # 6249) on :

Posted by Stan the man (Member # 6249) on :

Didn't they take it in for repairs?

Posted by kojabu (Member # 8042) on :

When will it be returned?

Posted by Stan the man (Member # 6249) on :

Well, aren't you as the repairman supposed to fix it?

Posted by Jonathan K. (Member # 7720) on :

Aren't i the repairman?

Posted by tern (Member # 7429) on :

When did you become the repairman?

Posted by Jonathan K. (Member # 7720) on :

When was i not a repair man?

Posted by Little_Doctor (Member # 6635) on :

Since when do we not capitalize "I"?

Posted by Jonathan K. (Member # 7720) on :

Did MandyM file those TPS reports yet?

Posted by Uprooted (Member # 8353) on :

Are we still having an office theme even though it's Saturday night?

Posted by Jonathan K. (Member # 7720) on :

<post a new theme anytime you like, just do it like this>

Posted by BandoCommando (Member # 7746) on :

Does anyone else here think that Tom Stoppard is a genius?

And did you notice how I EVADED your question?

Posted by Lyrhawn (Member # 7039) on :

<Rules for the Question game:
No rhetorical questions
No questions that start with a statement, and then use a comma to add a question word/phrase, i.e. I didn’t go to the movies, did you?
No synonyms
No repeats of sentences that have been said previously
No going off-track from the sentence prior i.e.
1. Did you go to the movies?
2. Where are the parking spots?
Avoid one-word questions like Why? or How?
I did not make up these rules, they are the rules in any standared drama class> ;-)

Are we still playing this game?

Posted by Hamson (Member # 7808) on :

What'd I miss?

Posted by tern (Member # 7429) on :

Did I miss you?

Posted by Goody Scrivener (Member # 6742) on :

Does it look like you missed me with this big pink splotch on my shirt?

<and Jonathan, FYI, not everyone has taken drama classes>

Posted by Will B (Member # 7931) on :

Since when do *you* care how your clothes look?

Posted by Goody Scrivener (Member # 6742) on :

Maybe since you splotched my favorite comfy shirt?
