It is the first ever Indeginous Finnish Film, its a parody of Star Trek and Babylon 5, the movie is 100% free and is downloadable from their site with direct download or bittorrent.

They change alot of names and the CGI is beautiful and it took them 6 years to make it.

Also, what it does is take for granted things in both serieses and makes fun of it, in a nostalgic sort of way and its hilarious.

Like instead of Cpt. Kirk or Cpt. Picard its Emperor Pirk, and instead of Sheridan its Sherryberry. and instead of Garibaldi its Garybrandy.

So ya see it now! Support Finland!

Having seen the film, I feel I must point out that it's actually occasionally funny despite the unfortunate puns. So if what Blayne just said put you off the movie, rest assured that it's not as bad as it sounds. *grin*

wha... The names is what I also found funny.

But ya the movie is awsome, some things about babylon 5 I didnt notice before, like apparently the roof caves in alot and I never noticed it.

I feel it is my duty to point out (at the risk of being perceived as a mean, nasty nitpicker) that the correct spelling is "Yeah", not "Ya". I see this alot and it really bugs me.

Sorry. Please carry on.

I'll download when I have time. In the meantime, you guys should torture us who can't download now with tantalyzingly funny "in" jokes. We'll secretly plot your deaths.

Excuse me, I prefer to be known as a Spelling Nazi. My objections rarely have to do with grammar.

I've always thought Strek Trek should have subtitles.

Data: The static warp bubble has created a unstable temporal shift in our dimension.

Subtitle: (The writers ran out of ideas. Go watch Firefly.)

How does downloading a free movie made by a bunch of hobbyists support Finland's film industry?

It helps people to remember that Finland actually exists

exactimundo.

Whether or not it benefits finland, it is still a pretty decent movie. For being a free amature movie, the special effects in it are amazing.

oh hell ya, the CGI for the movie for the Babylon 5 ships were way better then what the B5 crew ever managed for themselves. Though B5's CGI were awsome for the 90's.

Do you have to be a pretty avid follower of the original shows to find it funny? Because otherwise, things like Sherryberry are going to be completely lost on me.

to find it really funny yes, to find it moderatly asmusing no, to enjoy the special effects and the ship-ship combat plus some jokes... well who needs to know how an AK47 works to fire it?
