Sorry if this is already posted.
I couldn't believe there was a add for it on rottentomatoes! Woo hoo!

Sad that it has to be PG-13. [Frown]

I thought the first was OK. Considering how little I like the books, the best I can hope is that this one will be OK as well. At least they haven't turned out to be the campy and poorly done BofM Movie quality.

Well, the stuff that happens in it ain't exactly peaches and sunshine. I think the PG-13 is fitting.

I actually really liked the books when I first read them (I was 15), and couldn't get into them when I tried reading them later. The story is pretty good, and the first movie was okay.

I just hope they stop doing the facial hair = bad guy thing. It got a little ridiculous in the first film. But, looking at the website, I kinda doubt it.

OK, this thread made me look to see if the BoM movie was available at Netflix. It's listed, but not yet available on DVD (at least not from Netflix). However, I did come across this unfortunate typo:
quote:
Director Gary Rogers's multi-volume film is an epic, cinematic retelling of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints' sacred book, the Book of Mormon, which recants 1,000 years of Mormon history.
I imagine it most emphatically does not. [Wink]
