I was working on a document at work, and I made a boo boo. It is saved on the network. It was 24 pages, but now it is just 4 pages. I am thinking I accidently deleted 20 pages and saved over my document. Does word perfect have a built in function that lets me roll-back (Kinda like undo) to a previous version of the document?

Thanks

What kind of document was it?

Edit, Undo?

It is a word perfect text document. Edit-Undo will not work because I didn't notice the problem till after I closed the file down. It got saved over. That is why I am wondering about a possible roll-back function--kinda like rolling back drivers for windows.

Since it's saved on the network, can you ask your IT department to restore it from last night's tape backup? Or whatever kind of business continuity percautions they have in place?

You need a document management system to handle this sort of thing, preferably one that integrates with word. I believe MS even makes one.

You'll likely be able to recover at least some through the nightly backup.
