I am now an articled clerk who is being paid a (very nice) sum of money.
I am employed!
I only applied to one law firm, and when they didn't ring at 9 this morning (when offers opened) I was convinced I was unemployed.
So I finally rang them, and they offered it to me over the phone.
Woo-hoo!

Silly Dags. It means they're going to mention her in the company newsletter. Unless it means this . . .

Of course, it also means I now have to pay about $15000 a year in tax.
*Gleep*
And Rivka is, indeed right.

Incidentally, I'm not whinging above. The salary will still be more than enough.
It's just extreme to go from claiming the tax-free threshold to being well and truly paying tax.

Yeah, but it's Oz money, so it's not real dollars anyway.
And I'm glad to hear the company is going to put you in the newsletter.

Yay! That's awesome imogen.
I still have the fingernail biting anxiety of applying and waiting to be called ahead.

Oh, Good Luck in advance, Kylie.
Thanks, everyone.
I was woken up at 5 to 7 this morning by the phone - a driver claiming to be from the law firm that hired me.
So I go and open the gates. Hard to be mad at the law firm for waking you when they've sent a welcome card and a bottle of Moet & Chandon Champagne.
