Scrying is the art of concentrating on a reflective surface in an effort to evoke images that you would otherwise be unable to see. I think that some fiction, Battlefield Earth comes to mind, is so boring that you experience the thousand yard stare. I submit that this semi-catatonic state is perfect for scrying.

[ROFL] Battlefield Earth is certainly scry-worthy.

I get those 1000-yard stare moments sometimes while reading and it's really interesting. There's sometimes a pattern to the spaces between words that makes a kind of picture if your eyes defocus. Never knew there was a name for that.

Cool.
