Never mind. I just found out "misspelled" actually does have two "s"s, so I guess I spelled them all correctly.

This sentence contain two errors. Can you identify them?

Posted by Dobbie (Member # 3881) on :

1.The word "sentence" is singular. It should be the plural "sentences" to agree with the plural verb.
2.The article "this" is also singular. It should be plural for the same reason.

1. contain should be contains.
2. there is only one error in it.

But then it does have two errors which means it only has one error which means it does have two errors which means...

Mr. Brown, Mr. White, and Mr. Red are together in an office.

The three men are wearing ties that are the colors of their last names, although no man's tie matches his name.

Mr. Brown asks the man with the white tie if he likes red, but cannot hear the answer.

What is the color of each man's tie?

Brown, White and Red, I guess.

White, Red, Brown.

Red, brown, and white works, in that order, but I don't know why Mr. Brown couldn't hear the answer.

This post is in Spanish when you aren't looking at it.

Mr. Brown does not wear a brown or white tie. Therefore it has to be red. Mr. White's tie can't be white, so it must be brown.

That leaves Mr. Red with the white tie.

John had dinner the other night with his only sibling's husband's mother-in-law's only daughter-in-law.

With whom did he dine?

Posted by newfoundlogic (Member # 3907) on :

Why can't he ask himself? I can ask myself questions and generally when I do I can't hear the answer because I think the answer in my head.

You're right [Smile]

How about the next one?

John wrote the name of a certain U.S. state on a sheet of paper in all capital letters.

He then turned his page upside down and looked at it in a mirror.

It read exactly as he had written it.

What is the name of the state that he wrote?

Yup [Razz] OHIO it is.

Angela left on a trip the day after the day before yesterday and she will be back on the eve of the day after tomorrow.

How many days is she away?
