Who would win: Alvin Maker, as of the most recent book, or ender?(situation, the fight is in the battle room, dim light, several moving stars, and some water floating around for alvins use. Ender has no help, but he does have a piece of that wire)

Out of all the OSC books I've read, I would say Lanik Meuller wins any fights between characters. His ability to control time is just too strong to overcome. Plus he's got the whole grab-bag of other abilities to call upon. Perhaps the god-like powers of Justice from the Worthing Saga could catch Lanik unaware, but it wouldn't be an issue if Lanik stops time first.

But looking at my entire book-shelf, I would say the Shrike from Hyperion is the most formidible. He can control time, teleport across any distance, can use his arms to cut through almost anything, and he's virtually indestructable. You need something akin to a light-saber to even damage him (we have some Star Wars books), but any character who has that kind of weapon, the Shrike could just stop time and cut their head's off.

But then again, I do have a copy of the Illiad. I suppose the greek gods might have something to say about my choice... Too bad there isn't a bible up there, or else we could debate a fight between the Judaeo-Christian pantheon vs. the Greek one.

I think I will stop now [Smile] .

I'd have to agree with you about Lanik, he's just too super human. I haven't read enough of Alvin to know about his abilities, but I'll get there soon enough.

An unholy alliance of Ninjas and Pirates.

Now that's just silly Foust. Everyone knows that Pirates only ally themselves with Aquaman.

Who would win, Ninjas vs Robots?

Those viscious mutant robot ninja's win every time.

Ninja Vs Robots?

Depends on which robots. If we are talking The Matrix Type robots, then the Ninja's win, but just barely. If we are talking about Marvin The Android type robots, then the Ninja's die of laughter.

Independent Clause vs. Subordinate Clause

(Subordinate clause cheats, but gets busted for insubordination)
