Actually, I think that's an total misusage of the phrase.

It's tragic. I'm 23 and already trying to use the "cool" phrases and failing miserably. All I need now is some pre-adolescent rolling their eyes at me in the background and it will all be complete.

Anyway....

Tom, I've noticed your effort lately to ditch the (often funny) one-liners in favour of a more comprehensive and understanding response to posts. And I for one have really liked it.

Because of it I feel I get you a lot more. And I appreciate that.

But don't worry, you've still got the funny. [Smile]

We all love Tom [Smile] He is often witty and always well spoken, or well written in this case

It could be worse. You could be an aging rock star slathering in make up to hide your wrinkles, and you could be going to college on a reality tv show.

Thanks, Imogen. [Smile] I'm not particularly good at self-evaluation, so it's always nice to get some feedback.

Tom is great (one of the people whose posts I always make a point of reading)! While I have always found him to be well written and funny, I like the trend towards more comprehensive posts.

I may not always agree with you, Tom, but I like hearing what you have to say anyway. [Smile]

I'll chime in and agree as well. I also appreciate the kinder tone that your messages have taken on lately, Tom.

I always read what Tom says even when I know we're going to disagree. He's very articulate, and able to get his point across so I understand his view.

Three cheers for Tom!

Yeah.

And I get to hang out with him, his gorgeous wife, and his saintly genius child ... on a regular basis.

*touches butt, makes sizzle noise

Seriously, I've enjoyed Tom always, but even moreso lately. Aging like a fine wine. *grin

Whose butt?

His butt is aging? What?

Posted by camus (Member # 8052) on :

I would assume his butt is aging. So is his butt aging at a disproportionate rate to the rest of his body?

edit for stupid grammar mistake. Thanks!

(Pssst. To his body. A rate disproportionate to his body.)

imogen, thanks for pointing that out. I hadn't thought about it, but you are entirely correct.

Good going, Tom. [Smile]

Is that a sigh of satisfaction?
