Just what is that thing in the 6th frame that is held together with duct tape?
Posted by JaimeBenlevy (Member # 6222) on :
Wow, those are awesome. In the 5th picture, can anyone identify what countries are in the picture? Just curious.

Awesome.

That looks like a little mini hacksaw in the 6th frame.

Wonder how much NASA spends for a mini hacksaw cobbled together with duct tape?
Posted by mr_porteiro_head (Member # 4644) on :
Here is a similar hacksaw.

Very impressive, indeed!
And then the hacksaw, cobbled together with duct tape. My first thought: "doesn't duct tape outgas like a sonofabith in a vacuum?," but that's just me.

I'm guessing it cost more than $4.99.

Nah, it's fine. My Hoover is held together with duct tape, no problems.

Not that kind of vacuum, Tante!
Sheesh! Some people!

Nature abhors a vacuum. Me too. Also, a steam iron.

Oh? I guess it must be a Kirby, then.
Posted by Tante Shvester (Member # 8202) on :
High Five, quidscribis! Good one!

duct tape can fix anything!

I want to go into space now. Anyone want to lend me an enormous amount of money so I can buy my own shuttlecraft?
Posted by Tante Shvester (Member # 8202) on :
No money to lend, but perhaps this can help.
Posted by kojabu (Member # 8042) on :
Hm, would the all-weather Duct Tape hold up to reentry conditions?
Posted by Tante Shvester (Member # 8202) on :
Supposably.
Posted by Damien.m (Member # 8462) on :
Whoa!

If you look up the spec for the "Scotch® Professional HVAC Duct Tape" it specifically states: "Does not outgas like a sonofabitch in a vacuum."
