Hey there. Thanks to everyone for their replies to my questions over depression drugs for my sister in law. It's been a busy week here, especially with Jus away looking after the SIL and work being insane so I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone.

Does anyone have any good resources on how, as a family member, to help or deal with a suicidal family member? Jus is finding it tough going and I'd like to find some stuff to help her in her direction.

It's been over two years since Jus moved in and we've rarely spent more than a working-day apart in all that time. I go away for a couple of weeks a year on business, but it's a lot easier when it's you going. Being the one who's left at home is just no fun at all. Truth be told I'm virtually living at work to avoid going home. Anyway....

This is usually a pretty good resource.

Welcome. [Smile]

And I will whine about being up this early because Nathan randomly set his alarm for six a.m. But he set it at a level that would wake ME up and not HIM. [Mad]

We will have a little "chat" when he wakes up.

Mack beat me to it. NAMI is support, advice, advocacy and political action all rolled up into one. My in-laws got involved in the group, and it has been a tremendous resource for them.

Are you in Australia? 'Cause I don't know anything about Australian resources.

Mack: Normally, I'm guilty of the same thing. Jus works nights, I start at 10am, so my 8am wake-up call is never a welcome thing for her.

Tante: Yep, down-under. US resources are fine - I was more looking for advice for Jus to help deal with her sister.
