I liked the look of Dark Crystal when it came out, but I don't think the whole muppet thing translates well today. It's hard to suspend disbelief for a puppet when CGI is so incredibly realistic.

My oldest daughter loves the dark crystal- it is her age-equivalent of a good horror flick, I suppose.
