The manager at my apartment complex is so freakin' annoying, in fact, she's more than that. Ok, here's the problem, she is always bugging us because we have our surround system set up and running when we ourselves can barely hear it she comes up(she lives right beneath us) and tells us to put the sound off. Fine, we let her have her freakin way and turn off the damn system.
Another time, I was just litening to my little boombox, which was on top of a table, and she comes over and says the bass is banging on her roof. My boombox doesn't even have a subwoofer, the sound is rather insignificant and I was listening to New Age music. How much bass does that have??!
Ok, all of those times we let it slip. Even my mother, who is actually a very quiet person and very peaceable has gotten some sort of remark from this manager. Those times it was just a little something with the sound stuff. I say its all very insignificant stuff that she shouldn't have bit**** about, but hey, she's the manager.

Today though, my brother and I declare war. She got my brother's car TOWED. Why? Because he was parked in the visitor's spot. Yes, that was wrong of him, I must admit, HOWEVER, residents park there EVERY SINGLE DAMN DAY. Why is it that all of a sudden she decides to tow him? My brother had his permit sticker, she had accesible resources to know who was the owner of the vehicle, and yet, she still towed him.
My brother parked in there yesterday at night, around 10 PM, when the parking situation goes berserk and the only choices you have are parking in the visitors or parking in the streets, where it can get dangerous. Besides, the visitor parking spot is only a visitors parking spot from 8AM-10PM.
Now, my brother has to pay this $205 fee just to get his car out. Where the hell is he going to get the money I ask you?
Screw the money, we want revenge.

If, theoretically, I were planning revenge on someone, I might not post about it on the Internet.

Theoretically.

Theoretically, I'd want a new apartment, not revenge.

Theoretically.

I know what you mean, but she doesn't do hatrack. Besides, I can change my IP at will, no one will ever find me.

Oh Bok, if only it were that easy. San Diego is a very expensive city, finding an apartment is not very easy.

What would some good revenge ideas be though?

If it's not visitor parking after 10, how could she have him towed?

he was towed in the morning while he was getting ready to go to work at around 10 AM. I know that was during the time the car was in a visitor's parking spot, but I tell you, she could've warned him. I still think that what she did was mean.

She didn't have to do what she did.

Revenge is a dish best served cold.

I say you should slay.

Try "accidentally" hitting the weak spots at her flat. Say, if there's a weak place on her ceiling, try to leak down water. (And preferably toilet water that was stilled with body extracts.)

I'm with you, MDPA (Multi Diacriticaled Pseudonymed Altáriël)! Bring her down to her knees!

You could sabotage some of the things in the building that are her responsonsibility (not sure how that works in your building). Then sue her!

Get a bunch of friends, and lift her car to the visitor spot. Then complain to her boss!

Leave a plate of brownies at her door. She won't know if you laced them with something or if you're just trying to be friends. She'll never be sure, and maybe that uncertainty will dampen her attacks on you.

Or just sincerely try to be friendly to her, and maybe the attacks will turn into favors. I can tell you right off that revenge won't solve anything. Besides, do you really want to start a war where you live? You'll just make your life hell where you need it to be the most peaceful and relaxing.

Noise complaints are probably invalid unless they are at night, check with local authorities for a noise ordinance, and exactly when and what kind of noises are covered. Your lease may have different stipulations, but she can't prevent you from living. The noise ordinance ought to put it in perspective, if the lease doesn't specify exactly what noises are excessive.

Next time she complains, complain that the apartment walls are inadequately soundproofed. That puts the ball in her court.

Complain about any noise coming from her apartment: doors shutting, toilets flushing, bedroom noises are always nicely embarrassing.

Is there anything that prevents YOU from having HER car towed if it's in the wrong spot? Keep an eye on her car, and call the tow company if she parks over the line.

So Jonathan, just to make sure I understand, your revenge tactic of choice would be for Alt. to dribble sewage onto her own floor?

Alt, I'm sure you're just blowing off steam with this thread, but you do know that revenge is generally not the best of ideas, right? However petty her actions were, she stayed within the terms set out in a contract that your mother signed. If you break the law or violate the terms of the contract, it's conceivable that your family could be evicted from the apartment, which wouldn't be a whole lot of fun to have to deal with, especially in a city in which it's difficult to find affordable housing.

And while you could change your IP address, your posts here could still be tracked back to you fairly easily, just FYI. If you plan to commit a crime it's generally best not to talk about it in public, period.

And dint it!

Oh well whatever. I'm still angry at her. I can't get her a leaky roof because I live on top of her...
