Happy belated birthday, L_D! We're the same age now! Woohoo!

Are you going to be getting your drivers license?

Posted by Little_Doctor (Member # 6635) on :

Sadly, no. *Shakes fist at NY law!* I'm only just getting my permit now. I'll have my Jr. license in 6 months. Then my regular license in another 6 months.

Happy Birthday Lil' Doc!

I don't think she was pluralizing it. She was speaking of the act of partying. Like "She partys". Or would that still call for the rule?

"She partys all the time."?
"She parties all the time."?

Right, it's not pluralisation (silly me!), but the rule there still works. I'm sure.

Yes, it still calls the rule. When you "s" a "y", it becomes an "i" (adding an "e") in between, unless preceding it is a vowel (that's why it's "plays", "ways", "strays" etc., but "flies", "pris" and so on).
