My husband found this tidbit of info and I thought I would share it. My kids love tea, but I do not love them to have caffeine, or chemically decaffeinated products. This is what you do:

Steep a teabag for one minute n about a cup of water. Pour that tea away, and steep the teabag again. Most of the caffeine comes out of the tea in the first minute.

That is all. Just thought I would share, so i did.

Most tea products are decaffinated in a similar process. This is how Lipton makes decaf tea, if memory serves.

Primal Curve,
This way, you could use whatever your favorite tea is, and not have to find decaf tea. He(Dr.Weil) also says some of the nutritional qualities of the tea are lost in the decaffeination process.

Interesting. I've heard that the chemical decaffination process can leave nasty chemical residue.

Now, I have to post the grossest gourmet item EVER. $26 an ounce for that crap?!? Some people will buy anything. [Angst]

That is gross times about a million, Morbo.

This is good.

And I am sure there are no chemicals in that! ha ha.

Well, I'm sure it's loaded to the gills, but it tastes good. I don't like caffeine and I'm tired of drinking water.

5 years of nothing but water. Ugh.

I am all for caffeine, just not for the kids. I prefer the sugar free Snapple peach or raspberry iced tea.
