Or at least it was at 6.30am.

I was up, getting a glass of water when I heard a strange rustling sound. I followed it to the laundry where I found the sealed bag of dog biscuits dancing.

It's just a plastic bin bag, but I'd tied the tops together pretty firmly. Obviously something in there was having problems getting out and the whole bag was jumping because of it.

The question is, how did it get in? And what is it?

We have had a plague of mice recently, so that's my forerunner.

Not being a deals-with-potential-rodents-at-dawn person, I shut the cupboard door, shut the laundry door and left it.

It's now 9:30am, and nary a rustle.

I'm almost scared to go investigate...

Okay, I'll give you the Phenomenon answer. You sealed it in.

But, I'd agree that it's probably a mouse. And he got in easily because his mouth was empty. But when trying to get out, I bet he looked like a chipmunk. Or had his hands full.

I hate it when that happens!

Only here, it's usually cat food walking outside on its own. Until you notice the fifty ants carrying it.

I'm hoping he's disappeared off by now.

The dog got dog polony for breakfast instead of biscuits.

If it is a field mouse, no problems. I think it's the possibility it could be *anything* that has me cautious.

You know, just in case it's a giant and poisonous spider which happens to like the Science Diet.
