Careful, too many fluff posts like that and you'll be one of them.

I suppose if I did more fluff posts, my count would grow higher...does this count as a fluff post?
Posted by quidscribis (Member # 5124) on :
Probably.

See it worked! The 15k club is nowhere to be seen. Though I guess there can't be all that many of them.
If OSC keeps posting the way he has been recently, he'll be there in no time.

If I do enough of these kinds of post I'll be at 15000 post in no time
Posted by Ela (Member # 1365) on :
At the rate I'm going I should be at 15,000 in 10 years.
Posted by ReikoDemosthenes (Member # 6218) on :
I've only got about 14,497 more posts before I get there
Posted by Dagonee (Member # 5818) on :
Those over 15,000 people are crazy.
Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :
Drat! I thought I was closer than that! And school started again today . . .

I should get there, oh, around the time when I'm ready to die. Maybe my 15,000 landmark will be my obituary.
Posted by mothertree (Member # 4999) on :
I have cut back substantially. I think my fastest 1,000 posts was Feb-Apr 04.
Posted by Bob_Scopatz (Member # 1227) on :
It's not about the post count.
Posted by TomDavidson (Member # 124) on :
It's all in how you use it.

Too right!

Great tag team action TomD and Bob

He got married.

Tom had a baby... sort of. He helped.

rivka, you joined after me... how is it that you have over TWICE my post count!?
Posted by ricree101 (Member # 7749) on :
I can't say that I've ever been over 15,000 in any forum. I'm pretty sure that's a good thing.

I've been here for 5 years and seven months, roughly 5.6 years... This will be around my 3000th post (I think I'm a couple hundred off)...
So I will get to 15,000 in about 22 years. The funny thing is that I can see it happening. So long as there isn't a dramatic change in web technology, and we aren't all interacting in some sort of virtual reality coffee shop.
By even if not, Sophie will have more than 15,000 I bet .

Added: All the hatrack kidlets will probably actually think Mom & Dad's webforum is -so- uncool they'll rebel against us and go hang out elsewhere. I mean, why would anyone want to post somewhere they know their parents read?

Raia, hard work.
Plus, I haven't taken any three-month hiatuses.
Posted by Ela (Member # 1365) on :
HEY! My kids followed me here and joined and started posting. And then they invited their cousins, who also joined and started posting.
Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :
(And Ela, my parents are both here, too. It certainly hasn't inhibited my posting. That's what the wink was for.)
Added: (Speaking of not inhibiting my posting... this was my 4000th. Neat.)

Yeah, but I don't have three kids!!
Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :
That's good. You're a little young . . .
Posted by no. 6 (Member # 7753) on :
What I find most disturbing is that rivka started posting only a month before I did.
That, and she doesn't use alts very often.
Posted by imogen (Member # 5485) on :
Actually I find ElJay's post count the most disturbing.
I remember her arriving! She was so new.
And then she wasn't.
And now her post count is almost double mine.
*hmmph*
*flounce*

I didn't mean to disturb you, imogen.
Posted by mackillian (Member # 586) on :
that's a capital I, actually, not a pipe in the middle. And it was Pat who came up with that. Pat is one of my heroes.
Posted by imogen (Member # 5485) on :
ElJay, for you I will be most willingly disturbed.
It's a good disturbance.
Really.
(And when Tony and I finally get to the US, you and I are having a night out. Non-negotiable.)
Posted by mackillian (Member # 586) on :
I mean capital i
*mutter*
Posted by imogen (Member # 5485) on :
I just assumed you typed capital i. As in I.
But then I read mutter as nutter, so what do I know?
Posted by katharina (Member # 827) on :
I think someone's been messing with my post count. It's not really that high.
Very funny, Pop!
Posted by no. 6 (Member # 7753) on :
See: --I--
Now she told me how to do it right.
Thanks mac.
Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :
Okay. On the disturbance thing.
And mega-okay on the night out!
And if I happen to make it to Australia first, same deal. You never know, it could happen.

If you add up all your alts, I think the number is rather impressive.
I don't think any of my alts have more than 10 posts. Most are one- or two-shot deals. They're just not me. And I like being me.

I said I don't have three kids...
Kidding! Joke!
I don't have any.
Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :
Hey, when I was your age . . . uh, I didn't have any either, come to think of it.
Posted by Altáriël of Dorthonion (Member # 6473) on :
It will take me at least three years before I get to the 15,000 posts...
Posted by no. 6 (Member # 7753) on :
Now, really six or seven thousand posts in a couple of years is about half of your rate lady.
Not that I'm complaining.
Posted by Jonathan Howard (Member # 6934) on :
I have a while to go.
Posted by Audeo (Member # 5130) on :
Let's see 214 posts in 2 years. That works out to be 107 a year, so it'll only take me 140 odd years to get to 15,000. Let's hope they find a way to drastically improve life expectancy to biblical proportions.
Posted by Altáriël of Dorthonion (Member # 6473) on :
Wow, I knew I was addicted, I just didn't know I was SO addicted people would notice...
Posted by Raia (Member # 4700) on :
Well, it took me two years to pass 5000.
Is that fast?
Posted by Wowbagger the Infinitely Prolonged (Member # 7476) on :
Wow, AoD...your post count is insane for just being here a month...
Posted by no. 6 (Member # 7753) on :
But pretty good for someone who registered in April 2004...
