Ok, I need to give something to my mom on mothers' day,(don't we all), but the problem is that I've got no money and I don't know what to give to her at all...

I wrote my dad a poem one year, and calligraph-ied it on nice paper.

My mom's favorite was the year I made her dinner and served it to her, along with a thank-you note.

Dinner would be great, but don't forget to clean up afterwards. Trust me on this. [Smile]

Oh yeah. just a question, what should I cook for her?

What is her favorite meal? Perhaps one too time intesive to make reguarly?

Actually, I would be happy to get no presents if everyone cleaned the house and did all the laundry for me. Maybe do some hardcore stuff, like the windows and the bathroom walls.

Make her tamales or home-made pasta or something really labor-intensive.

And don't forget the note thanking her for all she does and has done for you.

If you're thinking of getting her flowers, I suggest that you read this thread of mine.

I think that's more important than any kind of tangible present. It's the letters and heartfelt thank you's that get treasured forever.
