Same drill... Did you reach your goal? What are you working on? How's it going? etc.

I had to turn in my writing portfolio last Thursday, so I guess I met my goal. I think at least one of my stories could have used a little more work. Now the real test comes... will I continue to write now that my class is over?

Hopefully this weekly thread brainchild of Belle's, will help with my motivation.

I am so bad. I didn't get anything done. But, it's the week of finals so it's been kind of crazy.

I guess I did get something done, I did get some plotting done. Solved a couple of problems, and filled a couple plot holes. But my focus was characterization and I didn't get too far on that.

Again, this week's goal is to finish last week's goal.

*cough*

*shifty eyes*

I have written a tiny bit, but I'm stuck on insults and a yucky scene which I have to beat up one of my characters.

I got nothing done this week. My weekly evening routine changed significantly with the start of my company softball team's season, and I didn't adapt my writing schedule to work around it. I did think of some new plot and characterization ideas but I haven't done anything with them yet. I had achieved some inertia by setting aside a hour and a half at the same time each evening to write, but when I interrupted that schedule I lost that inertia and only sat down one night last week and didn't get anything done that night.

My goal for this week is to set a new evening schedule for writing every night that isn't interfered with by softball and work towards last weeks writing goals.

Well, I missed the start, but I still need this accountability. It's been probably the most emotionally busy time of my life (tying up the loose legal ends of the end of a marriage and figuring out what I want to do when I grow up.) So I've not really been that productive in my writing life lately. However, my goal, if I can call it that, is to dust off the old manuscripts and see if anything sparks. That's probably enough for this week.

I rewrote my first chapter. Again. I feel like until I get the first three or four chapters how I want them I can't work on the rest of the story beacuse I won't know where it's going.

Goal not reached because I didn't make one last week. [Razz] I've got this idea I need to write down. I'll probably do that sometime soon. New goal would be to get at least 5,000 words, which isn't much I know.

I did revise this story in a story, but it needs to be printed out, hopefully I won't have to be sent to work a temp job so I'll print it out and revise it again and then submit it and maybe finish the whole novel.
