Nothing major; just a lot of little tragedies all happened today. All things that I can deal with.

It's just odd, isn't it? That all these little tragedies happen in quick succession?

Was it just me? Or was this a universal small tragedy day?

You know, one day I was feeling really nasty. I went to the grocery store, and everyone there was ugly. I mean, really funny lookin'. The cashiers, the customers, the manager.

When I had eaten, rested, relaxed, talked about my rotten day, and felt better, I realized it was more that I was feeling ugly inside, and that's why I saw ugliness in the ordinary people all around me.

Not that it's necessarily relevant, or that you don't have my sympathy. (((hugs)))

Oh, I'm not feeling especially tragic. And it was Yamina Benguigui who had to have emergency surgery. I would think it would ruin her night much more so than mine.

Well, I had a pretty crappy day myself. Nothing majorly awful happened, but a bunch of little things added up to really make me feel lousy by the time I headed for home. So maybe it is universal. [Dont Know]

But, maybe something else is going on in your life that you see more of the tragedies going on, or see more things as tragedies, than usual?

Perhaps. Perhaps. My family may just be particularly tragedy stricken.

I also have been listening to particularly melancholic music. In Hindi.

As far as I know. But she is in France.

Instead they showed one of her films - Inch'Allah Dimanche. Fabulous, fabulous. It's about little tragedies.

I had a crummy day kinda too. But then I just sat down in the grass and worked it out. Now I feel better.

I got all of your opposite luck: LOTS of free sushi and free MiddleEatern finger foods cuz a friend hosted a hobby party, and all of her friends are dieting. Including herself, and excepting me.
So much yummy goodness that I'll hafta force [Big Grin]

Mooselet and I had some issues yesterday, too -- enough so that a while after Mama got home, I just left the house for a bit. Went out, got dinner, did some grocery shopping and came home. I just desparately needed a little time away from the kids.

Mooselet didn't earn too many "stars and stickers" yesterday. Of course, Daddy might not have, either, if he had his own chart.

I sideswiped my own car yesterday. On one of those giant concrete pylons at a gas station. It was crowded and I had to swing wide in order to get on the side where my gas tank was. Well even though I'd made it every other time I tried the same maneuver this time I didn't. Giant 2-3 ft dent in my passenger side door.

It was painted red. If I had to hit one, why couldn't I have picked a yellow one?

I agree yesterday was pretty craptastic. One of our cats went in for surgery. The mass they were removing looked "worrisome" to the vet, so she had to remove more tissue around it than expected, so the wound couldn't be fully closed. So my poor kitty just can't understand why the people that profess to love him took him to a place where they made his leg hurt and wrapped it all up in a nasty bandage. I cried quite a bit with him last night and didn't sleep very well. He hid himself so well that I couldn't find him this morning (if I can't find him, I can't give him his antibiotics). So, my husband found him when he got home from work (after I'd already had to leave for work, of course), cried with him, and called to talk to the vet. My poor kitty hates us right now, I think. I wish there was some way to explain it to him. I can't imagine how awful it's going to be to take him in tomorrow to have his bandage changed. [Cry]
