Any idea why they released him? (since I know you follow his career). Any idea where he'll go now?

No clue. Hit a 50 yarder and do as well as he did and get cut in preseason? Must of made someone mad or one of the two new guys who are trying out knows someone.
Not sure where he’ll go. He’s played everywhere but the CLF. He’s done XFL, NFL Europe, Arena Football, and finally got his shot at the NFL last year. Don’t know of any other teams looking for a kicker. They seem to stick around forever. Heck, Gary Anderson is still kicking and he’s 45! Goodness….

Oh -- so he only played one year?

Well, probably the veterans squawked because they felt threatened. Because he certainly had a very good year as a kicker.

Bahh….. 3 years. Never has kicked a 50 yarder. Missed 2 extra points. Chump!

Matt France can’t even find kicking stats on….

I’m a little biased though. Jay got rookie of the year in arena football. And I know he set numerous kicking records in college. Oh well. Maybe he’ll get a shot somewhere with a winning team!
