It's being built in Burj Dubai, in the Middle East. I don't think this is the best thing for them to be building. Any thoughts?

I think there's probably a hundred things that could go wrong here that don't involve terrorism.
That said, it looks like an interesting place to live

Hope they're careful with the elevators in that thing! Imagine if one broke and the breaks didn't work. It would be like a skydiving freefall.

Just when you think we're (Americans that is) going to reclaim the tallest building in the world! Argh! Oh well, it doesn't really matter. In three years we'll hear that one that's 10 feet higher is being built in Japan, or France, or Equitorial New Guinea.
Speaking of tall buildings, does anyone know where you can go to check up on or see construction photos of the new tower and buildings on the old WTC site? The Freedom Tower, or whatever the stupid name for it is.

Dubai is so loaded that they could wipe their collective arses with $100 bills. Literally. They're not really in the middle of all the muck.

I like that they're keeping the exact height secret.
