Wow.... I like to run. But this is out there...

One Recipe for Happiness? Run 262 Miles

I think I'll set my limit at a marathon.

One has to wonder about how healthy this is, then again

I guess if it makes him happy. I always thought 5k was close enough to hell for me.

Dude:

In 2002 he joined a group of runners to attempt a marathon
at the South Pole. The 12-day trip turned into a month but
despite frostbite and ferocious conditions, he made it.

That's just... Dude.

Only a little over 3000 miles to go before he's as cool as Terry Fox. 'Course, Terry did it on one leg having lost the other to cancer and literally ran until caner killed him.

But, uh, go this dude!

Dude. He must be some kind of superman.
I can't even run a few feet without getting tired.
Impressed.

night, setting out for a hot spring 70 miles from home and
meeting the family there in the morning.

That sounds so cool! [Cool] I wish I was in that kind of shape. Well and I'd bike instead of run of course but still...

These ultra runners are a bread of their own. We have a couple in my running group. Don’t really think they’re in any better shape then a marathoner. After some point it’s just mental and when your body just gives out. Seems to be the consensus among the rest of the runners that the ultra runners are just crazy. Then again, runners in general get called crazy so often so what’s the difference.

Personally I think the ones who are in the better shape are the triathlon athletes. Doing an Ironman has to be the ultimate in conditioning. You’re doing three different events that require totally different kinds of energy and endurance.
