Although that has done nothing to fix the size of my nose.

Just got home from our official NarniaCon (today is her birthday, BTW) where I got to meet Jatraqueros for the first time IRL. You really are a bunch of nuts (make me feel right at home.)

Happy birthday, Cecily!!!! [Kiss]

And whatever they say, Jemmy is *not* a girly name.

Posted by JemmyGrove (Member # 6707) on :

Just think of it as a mutation of Jimmy, or Jaime (I always wanted to be a mutant).

Oh, and I hope the rest of you someday get a chance to see Porter dance. It's fun. [Wink]

You got to see Porter dance?!
Wow!

Congratulations! And happy birthday Cecily!

And we had Pie! It was HUGE! I was amazed.

And we played Apples to apples for like two hours. That was fun too.

I got to hear Narnia cackle. That was worth the price of admission all by itself.

I hate to break it to you, but Jamie is a pretty girly name.

No! I've seen Empire of the Sun. It can totally be a boy name. [Smile]

Jemmy, I'm so jealous I could die. *sniffsniff* I just HAVE to get to Portland sometime.

Sounds more like "Jeremy" to me, and that, at least, sounds masculine. [Wink]

We got to see Porter and Bev go head to head on DDR! It was the AWESOME.

Did rav and SM ever go head to head? I think they were the mad-skilzest of us all.

JemmyGrove sang us the song his name came from, and he's not bad.

I still have chocolate crud in my fridge. I'm so disappointed in my husband. He used to be able to put the crud away. I guess he's sort of trying to be healthier, though.

I also finally learned that Trisha's current screen name is an OSC reference. I can't believe I never figured that out before. [Wall Bash]

Me neither. I felt dumb when she said it.

It was a lot of fun. Narnia is even cooler in real life than I thought she'd be (and I've always thought she was pretty darn cool).

Yep, one of the cutest moments of the night, IMHO. [Smile]

What a great evening! We should do it more often. And Cecily, I hope you had a wonderful birthday! It was great to finally meet you. Can I be like you when I grow up? [Smile]

Thanks for hosting us, Mark! We should do these more often. [Big Grin]

You didn't? The first time I saw it I loved it for the reference to Speaker. I thought it suited Trisha too.

Last night was a blast. I got to learn how to play DDR (and learned that I'm not all that coordinated), I got to meet Narnia, Jemmy, and Mr. Gumby (all of which are very cool), and I got to see Mark's sweet pad. We also learned that Jennie and I were at the same All State Choir.

I also had another chance to tell my Portugese fart joke. [Big Grin]

Let me tell you, the opportunities to tell that are few and far between.

I also got to prove that I'm real. yeah, for me and Jemmy [Big Grin]

oh yeah, I'm happy to be me (Mr.Gumby) again

It's so nice to have people on my side. *ahem. Porter!*
[Wink]

I've wanted for years to grow up to be like Cecily. Even six feet would be nice. [Wink]

And Mr. Gumby, if you're nice to Blue Fairy you may get wanded too. I'm sure there's enough sparkly to go around.

Hey guys, sorry I'm so late replying! Thanks for all the birthday wishes. I had the most wonderful time meeting you!

People I met:

Magson
Mr. Gumby
Brinestone
Jon Boy
sarcasticmuppet
raventh1 (and two pizza-picking-up friends)
Anticool
Beverly
mothertree (and three pequeninos)
hansenj (you're already cuter and cooler than me, so I'm just going to try to be like YOU!!!)

People I already knew:

JemmyGrove

That brings my hatrack list 'o' in real life friends to over 30 or something! I feel so lucky!!

I did have a good birthday (I had to blow out 26 candles on a very large pizza) and this was the first time I've been able to play Apples to Apples with the hatrack crowd. Fun. 'Nuff said. [Big Grin]

I made it home safe. "Just an FYI" (a la Galaxy Quest.) [Smile]

I find that when I meet jatraqueros, I become interested in their lives and personal accomplishments simply because I now know them for real. [Smile] I hope everyone has had a week as nice as mine has been. I've missed a lot here I see. *hugs*

So...back to life, back to sense, back to school, back to posting...I can't live in Salt Lake! [Wink]

Posted by AntiCool (Member # 7386) on :

You could if you *really* wanted to.

Posted by Narnia (Member # 1071) on :

[Wink] I guess, but I would never get anything done for all the cool people being nearby and you would get really sick of me.

Better to stay here on the west coast and retain my mystic not-there-ness, so that when I do show up, it's exciting, and we eat lots of pizza. [Big Grin]

Posted by AntiCool (Member # 7386) on :

Oh, and what pizza that was!

BTW, I had a blast. I'm glad I got to meet you.

Posted by Narnia (Member # 1071) on :

Same here. You and Mary are teh awesome. (And all your bases are belong to us!!)

We need to have a portuguese speaker party. I was with a bunch of Spanish speakers for the rest of my week and it was really a pain in the neck. [Wink] Though I did get to go to Rodizio and all the Spanish speakers paid for me because it was my birthday that week.
