Oh yes. I've been monitoring Unearthed Films waiting for the DVD to come out.

Thanks for the links - this will help ease the wait.

P.S., I knew there was a reason I thought you were cool. [Wink]

They've postponed it 3 or 4 times, so don't get too excited yet.

But I've been looking forward to this since my senior year of high school. There's an indie theater in Norfolk called the Naro, and I saw it there at a late show. I know someone who had the laserdisc, but never found it on VHS or DVD.

It used to be on VHS. A copy was at my local video story for years. It was my favorite movie as a kid. They even showed it on tv once in a blue moon.

But then the tape disapeared...I asked the story people and they said I could order the tape from the company...but for $80! But a friend had a copy (the $80 tape) and I borrowed it from him. Hehehe... and made a copy! And that stayed with me for years...but that too vanished eventually!

So I've been without Rock & Rule for like six years. And I miss it.

Lou Reed as the singing voice of an aging rock star trying to plunge the world into a post-apocolyptic nightmare works for some reason.

Hehe.. hear hear!

I also just got Ralph Bashki's "Wizards" on DVD. Very cool.

I like Wizards, especially the end. "I'm glad you changed your name." He sounds like Columbo when he says that.

If you like Bashki, check out "American Pop." Very different from Wizards, but quite good.

I like Bashki as long as I can repress his LotR. *shudder*
