I just thought I would let everyone know, I'm going to be gone for a little less than a week. I'm going to Kansas, Leavenworth, to visit my grandparents. I'll check in on occasion but it won't be often.

Wanna bet. You'll be checking in everywhere a keyboard is sitting between here and Lawrence and back.

Hatrack does that to people.

For a second I thout you were going to the military prison there. I was about to say wow, I never knew Steve was a hardened criminal.

[No No] Dan_Raven! Never confuse Leavenworth with Lawrence... [Big Grin]

Why, why, why do people post threads that get songs into my head?

Good songs, sure, but ...argh!

Bye Steve! See you soon! [Wave]

Megan, what song is in your head?

Because the song in mine is (and I shudder when I say this) the NKOTB "I'll be loving you" as sung by Joey McEntire.

It's been FIFTEEN YEARS!! WHY is that in my head?

"Leavenworth"

*shudder*

That's not a good word for those in the military.

Kat, it's "I'll be seeing you." [Smile]

quote:
I’ll be seeing you;
In all the old, familiar places;
That this heart of mine embraces;
All day through.

In that small cafe;
The park across the way;
The children’s carousel;
The chestnut tree;
The wishing well.

I’ll be seeing you;
In every lovely, summer’s day;
And everything that’s bright and gay;
I’ll always think of you that way;
I’ll find you in the morning sun;
And when the night is new;
I’ll be looking at the moon;
But I’ll be seeing you.

Oh, that's nice. Who sang it originally? I wonder if I can hear it somewhere...

Added: Here we go, as recorded by George Clooney's aunt [Smile]

Bing Crosby, I believe, although Frank Sinatra was also quite well-known for it.

Hang on, I'll look.

That song started going though my head first thing, too, Megan. [Smile]

Ok, as near as I can tell, Bing Crosby is one of the earliest performers; the song was written in 1938 by Irving Kahal.

[Big Grin]

Eljay: [Big Grin]

I'm amused at how often thread titles remind me of songs. I'm tempted to make threads called "The best is yet to come" and "I did it my way" and "Que sera sera." I've had that last one in my head for two days now (ever since watching The Man Who Knew Too Much).

I'm not gone yet! And Dan_Raven. So what? Its not my fault I'ma addicted to Hatrack! [Cry] They don't have any rehab centers out there for the Hatrack addiction.

And on another note- I'm not in the military......I'm not old enough. Anyways, my grandparents live in the other part of Leavenworth. Though, during visits, we have driven by the prison quite often. Barb wire seems to be in fashion there.

This thread title reminded me of The Prisoner.

Its not a vacation. I'm on leave. [Razz]

Edit: I check in and there isn't anything I want to talk about. See you guys tomorrow.
