Well my school has a very odd schedule so my spring break starts today...and what beautiful weather! We only got 5 inches of snow! Added to that is the fact that I'm not going anywhere, just staying here in old Minnesota, and all my friends are going to Florida/Mexico/Hawaii. So I'm going to be left all alone without any friends. Well there's still the movie theater, and my computer. Oh well.

Hey, I didn't know you were in Minnesota! Where ya from? I'm in Minneapolis.

Um, sorry about the snow on your break.

If it makes you feel better, I'm in the same situation. I plan to spend the next week alone in my dorm room, and hoping it doesn't snow anymore. I did make it to the library though, so I've got five or six books not to read, but first I plan to sleep after a rather grueling week studying for midterms.

Oh yeah? You don't want to get into a p*ssing contest with me over who has the most depressing break.

*grin*

I am not in school, but I work *at* a school (The United States Army Military Academy) and all of the customers (cadets-students) are going places. Places like Ireland. Places like Rio. Places like Hawaii/Cabo/Tunisia/Egypt/Mazat*freakin*lan. And lots of them are having their spring break PAID for by the Academy because they are doing 'visiting cadet' programs with military academies in other countries.

*bangs head on desk*

What am I doing here in Western NY? Watching the snow slowly melt (*finally*) and then re-freeze (*inevitably*). I do have the week off, and so does my seven-year-old son. My incredibly clingy seven-year-old son. While my husband is away at Army Guy School. For six weeks. Leaving me at home with the incredibly needy boy. Who Loves His Father and reminds me of that every half hour. Yes, while he does love his mommy, he loves his daddy more. He tells me this. Every Half Hour.

Okay, whining over. [Smile] Thx.

My break also! And I also live in MN! And I also got five inches of snow! ChaosTheory, are you me?

I think I win. I don't have a break.

I don't have a spring break either. Raia and I tie. Except the fact that Raia's in Jerusalem and I'm in Utah. in which case I win. [Big Grin]

Um, sorry about the snow on your break.

I live in South Saint Paul close to the Inver Grove border. I don't really mind the snow that much, as you know us Minnesotans don't really mind snow that much [Wink] But none of my friends are around which sucks.

dkw and I grew up in Inver Grove Heights. Our parents still live there. I probably rode my bike past your house as a kid. [Smile]

I always found it ironic that a lot of people go skiing for spring break.

My break was last week, and the snow was only gradually melting...

Being at home with the snow and nothing to do can be zippo fun, but at least it's not classes and homework. Right?

Hey, at least you don't have to study. Quals in a week. [Angst]

It could be worse, I go to a school that doesn't have a spring break.

Edit: Raia and sarcasticmuppet are with me on this one.
