It would be even better if the title of the thread was blank.

We haven't had one of those in ages!

Posted by Jay (Member # 5786) on :

funny

Posted by T_Smith (Member # 3734) on :

You can't have a blank thread title any more, Teshi, which is why we haven't had one. [Frown]

Bring back the blank!!!

Posted by kaioshin00 (Member # 3740) on :

OH really? [Wink]
well i guess it's not exactly blank, curses.

Yay! I got in! I'm not a complete loser!

You know what's crazy? The "click on the title right before it and then click next topic" doesn't work with this. I guess it didn't recognize the symbol or something?

Posted by skillery (Member # 6209) on :

HRE did it about a year ago. Can't remember what char he used though.

All by myself too! Muwahahahha!

Um, I seem to be missing something. Was it supposed to be difficult to get in here?

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

I can't from the forum itself. But from the outside forum listing...

There are many ways to enter the thread of mystery. [Wink]

I actually see a square as thread title, and can't click on it. So yeah, I'm a *little* impressed. On the other hand it going to the previous thread and clicking Next DOES work for me. So here I am...

Edit: From the Active Forums or Today's Active Topics I can just click on the title though... Oh well...

I'm thoroughly lost. On my own laptop this morning (I use firefox) I had absolutely no problem getting in... now I'm on campus (also using firefox), and the only way I could get in was to go one beside it and click "next." I didn't realize something was actually difficult about getting in... I'm so confused.

Well, since we're at it, I'm quite hungry.

Posted by Farmgirl (Member # 5567) on :

I had no trouble getting in from firefox...

Posted by TomDavidson (Member # 124) on :

If you have certain symbol packs installed, you can click right on the square. Otherwise, you cannot.

Posted by scottneb (Member # 676) on :

Yeah, I got in from the "Today's Active Topics." I'm gonna do some more experimenting.

Posted by Anna (Member # 2582) on :

I used the classic "go to the previous thread and click on next thread" trick. I use IE at work.

Posted by scottneb (Member # 676) on :

I found another way!!!

[Party]

Posted by scottneb (Member # 676) on :

Firefox let me in just fine. I see something like an underscore that's half the usual length on the main forum page, and can click on it the normal way.

Posted by scottneb (Member # 676) on :

In IE right click a blank spot and change your encoding to anything other than Unicode. Tada! A jarbled mess you can click on.

That was neat kaioshin. I got in by clicking on one of your other posts and searching your recent postings. I've never seen anyone make one of these types of postings before [Smile]

I was very confused about all this until I got halfway down the page and saw the explainations. I see an underscore and clicked in as normal. I'm on a Mac with Safari.

It certainly does. That's how I got in last night (after the title was changed).

But then I realized I could get in by clicking on the teeny bit of title, the usual way. D'oh! [Razz]

Fun

Posted by scottneb (Member # 676) on :

Okay, something's suuspicious about Jay. I don't really know him to give one word posts, he usually elaborates.

What gives?

So which is the best escape sequence for all browsers? This thread shows up on IE 6.0 and Mozilla 1.7, whereas HRE's does not. However, HRE's showed up on other browsers.
