It is called "Schultze Gets The Blues," about a German salt miner who plays polka accordion, and hears Zydeco one day. He ends up going to Louisiana. It has won tons of awards in Europe. Did anyone see it?

I think Hobbes is really excited about this movie too. haven't seen it yet, but it is one of my favorite recent trailers along with Sin City and Garden State. [Smile]

Will it be in big theaters, do you think, or off beat ones? Where did you see the trailer?

I saw it at the same place Hobbes linked to. [Smile]

I haven't seen the trailer, but I could see a polka player hearing Zydeco as song from on high. I haven't heard enough Zydeco, but what folks from Louisiana do with an accordion is inspiring to me, and I generally hate accordion music.

The guy with the accordion is a relative of mine (Edwin Duhon).

Some bios of the members of the Hackberry Ramblers here: http://www.pbs.org/independentlens/makethemdance/meet.html

edit: of course, pretty much anybody with the name Duhon is related to me by a not too tenuous degree, but Edwin's a relatively close relation.
