First I came across the Ent dingle in LOTR, which is currently my reading-before-sleeping book.
Then, just a few days later, I had another dingle sighting in a Tad Williams book.
There's dingles everywhere!

Wow. What does dingle mean in your lexicon?
In mine it has to do with manure.

In the books it seems to refer to a small canyon-like feature in a landscape.
I posted this however, because I remember an entire thread here on Hatrack devoted to the word "dingle."

Ah yes... I'm remembering vaguely.
(I'm actively fighting the propagation of memes by having an atrocious memory)

The famous dingle thread. Yes...

Annie, I applaud your attempts. I salute you.

BTW, since there's not too much people on this thread... I'm ashamed to ask, but : what is a meme ?

My wife makes a tasty treat she calls "stuffed dinglies:"
slice a bunch of hot dogs lengthwise
fill the hot dogs with a mixture of mayonnaise and picante sauce
top with grated cheddar
microwave until the cheese melts
Posted by Annie (Member # 295) on :
That sounds positively obscene.

And hairstyle?
Posted by skillery (Member # 6209) on :
It even looks like a mullet (or a dingle if you squint).
Posted by Glenn Arnold (Member # 3192) on :
Are these guys squinting? I can't tell.
