I started a workout routine this week. The only downside is my workout buddy has 8:00 classes, which means we're meeting at the gym at 6:00 am. This is torture, because no matter how tired I am, I can't fall asleep before 11 or 12. So I'm running on two days of 5.5. hours of sleep each. Ugh.

This health stuff better be worth it.

I tried the early morning workout before. I quit when I found myself falling asleep on the benchpress.

I always found that a workout of some kind made me go to bed earlier, because I'm tired. I usually workout or run in the afternoon or evening, but mornings are the only consistently free time slot that I have.

I've been slothful for a year and a half, and need to start taking care of myself better. Ideally, I'd like to have to buy all new suits when I graduate. If I can maintain one pound a week until then, I'll be svelte and sleek.

If I can maintain 185 for 1 year, and I can afford it, I'm going to splurge on a custom-tailored suit.

Having a buddy is more important for motivation than the sleep thing, though. Eventually, I should be able to fall asleep earlier, as TStorm suggested.

You go, boy!

Remember - it takes about three weeks for any change to get comfy, so hang in there!

What day is your graduation, Dag? I don't suppose it is anywhere near the dates I will be up in that area?

Graduation is May 2006, so no, it's not a problem. [Smile]

Which means I don't actually have to get one pound a week, but it's a good, achievable goal.

Hey, Dags, maybe you should send some of that weight over here. Our daughter is still supposed to be gaining 1/2 an oz. to an oz. a day to get up to a healthy weight; if you send half of that pound to her every week, she'll be up to speed in no time. [Big Grin]

Oh, KQ, would that I could.
