Not "axe" vs "ax". Rather, Microsoft Spell Checker vs Dictionary.com.
According to this site, the word is spelt:
"Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis."
Whereas, Microsoft Spell Checker wants to correct it (both in US English and Aussie English) to:
"Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanokoniosis."
How will I ever spell properly
?

Both are apparently correct, according to onelook.

Oh, that's efficient!

English is never efficient where it can be efficacious in its effigation.

Really. Do you mean effigate?

Only a kretin would use the second spelling.

Or a German.

quote:
I'll effigation you!
I'll effigation you? What does that mean? Is it supposed to be some kind of threat?

I'll defenestrate you before you can blink.
