In the original Battlestar Galacticia series Baltar was more of a direct traitor. In the new series he’s been dooped into helping the Cylons and now is scared for his life. Thoughts?

In the original Baltar was a member of the Quorum of the Twelve. I bet that when they hold elections and bring back the ruling council he will be elected. That can pave the way for Baltar to become more of a direct traitor in the new series...eventually leading to him becoming, just like in TOS, the one responsible to hunting down the Galactica and fleet.
