So, the last time I asked a girl out this happened. (I can't find the original thread, so the update thread will do I hope [Smile] )
I chose not to ask anyone out for a while, hoping to avoid a similar situation. Anyway, I haven't told anyone about the girl who I am interested in at the moment. She's in both of my dance classes. I actually met her about 2 years ago and asked her out then. However, the date never happened for various reasons (And I over-reacted to it at the time, thinking she had stood me up). But ever since we met again, it's been insanely fun just dancing with, talking to, and getting to know her. After about 3-4 weeks of extreme levels of flirtatiousness between us I decided to just get over my previous stupid selfishness and ask her out again.
Which brings me to the point. I just went on the best date I have been on in nearly 3 years, with her. I seriously don't know why, but I am more comfortable with this girl than I have been with any other person in my entire life. And dang it, it feels really good.

Well now, I dunno. Fahim and I didn't manage any dates before we got married. [Dont Know]

[The Wave]

Nice to be on the right side of romance this close to Valentine's Day. [Smile]

I could even add that Fahim proposed to me somewhere around 200 times before I finally accepted. (We lost count at 150). So, uh, ya know. Don't give. Or something. [ROFL]

Since this was just a first date, I don't know if I'm under the obligation...But I'm going to get her a rose and write a poem for her anyway [Smile]

quidscribis, that joke was because my husband and I didn't have an actual "date" before we got married, either. [Big Grin]

Revel in the comfort. Comfort plus fireworks is the best. Eve and I spoke for maybe 10 minutes at the wedding we met at. When we talked on the phone the first time after that, we stayed on for 4-5 hours, with no awkward pauses.

It was amazing.

So good for you. Enjoy this, be good to her, and remember that when the butterflies come without driving away the comfort, things are just getting good. [Smile]

See, kq, there are so many reasons I respect and admire you, and then you add to the list. [ROFL]
